SHIRTS

A Comprehensive Guide on the Perfect Fit.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

THE COLLAR

The collar of your shirt should comfortably fit around your neck, allowing enough room to insert a finger between the collar and your neck without feeling tight.

If the collar constricts your neck or feels uncomfortable, it is too tight. If the collar has a noticeable gap and sits away from your neck, it is too loose.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

THE TORSO

The shirt should lightly contour your body, offering a fitted look without excess fabric around the chest and waist or tension on the buttons.

If the shirt pulls or creates tension lines across the chest, waist, and buttons, it is too tight. If there is an abundance of excess fabric, making the shirt appear baggy, it is too loose.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

THE SHOULDERS

The shoulder seam should align with the edge of your shoulders, ensuring a clean and tailored appearance.

If the shoulder seam sits on top of your shoulder, pulls and restricts movement, the shirt is too tight. If the shoulder seam falls below the edge of your shoulders, the shirt is too loose.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

THE SLEEVE LENGTH

The sleeves should end at the base of your thumb bone when your arms are at your sides, ensuring proper coverage and a polished look.

If the sleeves end above the base of your thumb bone, exposing too much of your wrist, the shirt is too short. If the sleeves extend past your thumb bone and cover part of your hand, the shirt is too long.
